Lindenbaum is pleased to announce that Sophie Gilliam has joined the firm, initially as Counsel.

Sophie Gilliam

With Sophie’s arrival, Lindenbaum further expands its capabilities in competition litigation, collective redress, and complex commercial disputes.

Sophie was admitted to the Dutch Bar in February 2007 and has nearly 20 years of experience in antitrust litigation. Throughout her career at leading law firms, she has advised and represented both claimants and defendants in some of Europe’s most significant follow-on competition damages actions, including matters relating to road bitumen, industrial bags, air cargo, trucks, elevators and escalators, sodium chlorate, candle wax, beer, ethylene, and comparison shopping services.

Her expertise, strategic insight, and international perspective will be of great value to our clients, and we are delighted to welcome her to the firm.

Expanding the team with young talent

Additionally, Lindenbaum is pleased to welcome the arrival of colleagues Caroline van ‘t Groenewout (paralegal), Lea Englisch (paralegal), Alexander Breugelmans (intern), and Nimorika Sekhri (intern).

Managing partner Damiën Berkhout commented: “We are very happy to have this new influx of talent at the firm. Sophie is an experienced, reputable and excellent lawyer, and somebody that will help us further expand our competition litigation practice in particular. At the same time, young talent has also joined us, which fits perfectly in our strategy to focus on continuing to build the firm, also by training new lawyers.”
