Guido Vergouwen joins Lindenbaum as of 1 September 2023

Lindenbaum expands its practice with the arrival of Guido Vergouwen as a partner. Vergouwen will split his time between the Amsterdam office and a new office in Eindhoven, which he will open for the firm. Lindenbaum specializes in complex corporate and commercial litigation, with the additional focus on representing plaintiffs in class actions and civil antitrust claims.

Guido Vergouwen leaves AKD Benelux, where he previously co-headed the litigation department and served as a partner. Vergouwen is nationally and internationally recognized as a leading expert in the field of corporate litigation. He specializes in takeover disputes, shareholder disputes, international arbitration, trade disputes and litigation at the Enterprise Chamber of the Amsterdam court of appeal. Vergouwen was in 2019 for example involved in the case of Italia Ukraine Gas against Naftogaz and coordinated complex litigation in eight European countries, resulting in the recovery of a multimillion award.

With the arrival of Vergouwen, Lindenbaum is executing on its strategy to expand its corporate litigation practice. Lindenbaum will open a second office in Eindhoven, and is expecting further growth of its practice and team this year.
