Working at Lindenbaum

Lindenbaum takes good care of its employees. Good service starts with a good and pleasant office culture. We usually work in small teams of 2 to 3 persons, so everyone is involved. We do not have billable hours targets but assume that everyone takes responsibility. We encourage an open and critical attitude and want to keep developing. Our ambition is not only to be the best law firm but also to create a friendly and enjoyable working environment with nice and fun colleagues. We understand that being a good employer also requires a good salary.

About working at Lindenbaum

As a law firm, we are always looking for interesting, impactful and fun cases at the top of the market. Cases that are socially relevant, high-profile, and where we simply want to achieve the best for our clients. Our clients seek us out not only because of our expertise, but also because of our strategic and innovative approach (see more about our ‘DNA’ here). We are always looking for innovative approaches, not only in the law, but also in our working methods. We recently moved to a fantastic building in one of the most beautiful places in Amsterdam, the Concertgebouwplein.

Our firm has three pillars:

1. Group actions and public interest cases, where we act on behalf of a large group of injured parties or a non-profit organisation. We conduct these cases under the Dutch collective action regime or directly on behalf of the aggrieved parties. We conduct these actions in areas such as competition law, consumer law and privacy law.

2. Damages actions for large international corporates, where we act directly for the corporates.

3. Corporate and other commercial litigation matters, such as directors’ liability disputes, shareholder disputes or disputes related to a merger or acquisition.

Junior associate litigation (advocaat-stagiair)

For our litigation practice, we are looking for an enthusiastic and driven junior associate (advocaat-stagiaire, 0-3 years of experience). We are seeking someone who has just graduated or already has several years of experience within the legal profession. We are looking for someone with a passion for the law and who is interested in societal developments. You should be eager to develop your skills to become an expert in corporate or commercial litigation. You are precise and keep asking questions until you fully understand the problem, after which you efficiently seek a solution. As an advocaat-stagiaire, you will work in both large and small cases to see what suits you and to gain as much litigation experience as possible. Since many of our clients are English-speaking and the litigation is in Dutch, it is important that you can write and speak in both Dutch and English.

Attorney Corporate Litigation (3-8 years of experience)

We are looking for an enthusiastic lawyer with a passion for litigation in corporate law. You write clear legal documents, even when dealing with complex subjects, and you enjoy pleading cases. You can express yourself excellently in both Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing. It is possible to work in our Amsterdam office as well as our Eindhoven office.

You are interested in societal developments and themes such as consumer protection, climate change, and ESG. You can express yourself excellently in both Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.

Office Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic office manager with experience in the legal profession for our office in Amsterdam, for 32-40 hours per week. We are seeking someone who enjoys being responsible for non-legal matters within our office, located at the beautiful Concertgebouwplein. Responsibilities include:

  • Reception duties: first point of contact for visitors, both in person and by phone
  • Support with litigation tasks (compiling and printing case files)
  • Marketing and organizing events
  • Contact with suppliers and other relations
  • Court administration and contact with the court registry
  • Support with billing

Student Intern

We have openings for talented student interns within our litigation practice in the upcoming period. Are you studying law at a university and want to see what it’s like inside a law firm that regularly appears in court? We are looking for good, motivated students who are at the end of their bachelor’s or in their master’s phase, with a focus on corporate law, civil law, or competition law. An internship with us lasts two months and is office-wide. This means you will have the chance to observe different areas of law and learn about various styles of lawyers. We will take you to meetings and court sessions and involve you in substantive questions related to our cases, so you truly become part of the team. You won’t be sitting in a back room, but with one of the lawyers in our beautiful new office in the heart of Amsterdam. This way, you can experience a real Amsterdam litigation practice from the inside.

Research Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic Research Manager with a passion for uncovering the facts necessary to support impactful litigation cases for our office in Amsterdam. You excel at conducting thorough research, even when dealing with complex subjects, and you enjoy digging deep to get to the bottom of things. You will be working on large, high-stakes cases with significant impact, such as major antitrust cases, privacy cases, and ESG-related litigation.

You have strong legal skills and can express yourself excellently in English, both verbally and in writing. You have an ability to meticulously gather and analyze information that will be crucial in building our cases. You are interested in societal developments and themes such as consumer protection, climate change, and ESG, and you are eager to contribute to cases that make a difference. You have a university or HBO education.

Join us in our beautiful new office in the heart of Amsterdam, where you will be an integral part of our team, working closely with our lawyers to support our litigation practice.
